Workflow Automation Engineer(m/w/x)

Requirements

• Hands-on n8n expertise and production workflow experience
• Proficiency in JavaScript and expressions
• Foundational knowledge of modern LLMs
• Literacy in retrieval-augmented generation concepts
• Knowledge of systems and data integration
• Experience integrating various business systems
• Product mindset and strong communication skills
• 3+ years experience in automation or similar
• Experience building domain-specific automations
• Experience creating grounded AI assistants
• Basic SQL skills for validation
• Engagement with n8n or automation ecosystems
• Right to work or visa eligibility
• English language proficiency

Tasks

• Partner with internal teams to identify high-impact automation opportunities
• Translate business goals into technical specifications and success metrics
• Prioritize projects by impact and effort to deliver value quickly
• Design and maintain n8n workflows using APIs and LLMs
• Write custom JavaScript and functions to ensure clean logic
• Instrument workflows for observability, error handling, and versioning
• Apply RAG and structured output patterns to increase reliability
• Enforce data governance and privacy guardrails for sensitive information
• Document workflows and provide handover training to users
• Iterate on automations based on feedback and telemetry
• Manage a backlog of workflow improvements and deprecations
• Share automation patterns and best practices across the company
• Identify product gaps to help shape the engineering roadmap
