Requirements
- Willingness to travel to Munich weekly
- Genuine passion for AI-driven SDLC
- Background as an experienced software engineer
- Strong backend and platform foundation with C#/.NET
- Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred; Azure or equivalent also welcome)
- Experience building and operating distributed systems
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and modern infra/tooling: Terraform, Docker, CI/CD systems
- Passion and experience with AI-enabled products and development pipelines
Tasks
- Lead and coach Engineering Managers and Tech Leads
- Grow a 50+ person engineering organization
- Build a healthy and inclusive engineering culture
- Drive career development and performance clarity
- Strengthen team rituals and enhance cross-crew collaboration
- Ensure predictable, high-quality delivery across six engineering teams
- Mature planning and execution processes
- Manage dependencies and risks effectively
- Track and improve engineering KPIs like cycle time and MTTR
- Maintain a sustainable pace and proactively remove blockers
- Co-own long-term product and platform strategy with leadership
- Translate business goals into actionable engineering plans
- Ensure architecture supports scalability and reliability
- Identify capability gaps and drive organization-wide improvements
- Uphold engineering standards and design quality
- Champion maintainability and manage technical debt
- Partner with Staff+ leaders on architecture and design decisions
- Manage tooling, vendors, and engineering budget
- Make capacity and investment decisions aligned with long-term goals
