Transport Planner - Supervisor Perspective(m/w/x)
Planning and managing FTL, LTL, Groupage transports at advanced science and industry solutions provider. Initial leadership experience advantageous; profound Europe-wide transport control knowledge required. 30 days vacation.
Requirements
- Completed commercial apprenticeship and several years of professional experience in freight forwarding/transport/logistics or comparable qualification
- Profound knowledge in operational Europe-wide transport control (especially FTL, LTL, Groupage) including carrier management
- Structured, KPI-based, and independent working style with strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication skills, teamwork skills, enjoyment of operational work; initial leadership experience (advantageous)
- Proficiency in MS Office, required SAP knowledge (SAP-TM & ECC advantageous), and Transport Management System knowledge (advantageous)
- Negotiation-level German and English
Tasks
- Manage and control FTL, LTL, Groupage transports
- Process transport tickets
- Handle transport complaints
- Conduct price checks
- Perform transport planning
- Ensure OTIF, lead times, and data quality
- Monitor transport-related KPIs
- Perform benchmarking for transport KPIs
- Identify optimization potential for transport processes
- Support implementing new carriers and processes
- Assist with TMS/ERP projects
- Coordinate with Purchasing, Customer Service, Warehouse, Regulatory
- Support customs and dangerous goods inquiries
- Create guidelines and work instructions
- Support training sessions
- Optionally deputize for the Supervisor in daily operations
