Requirements
- Completed commercial apprenticeship, several years professional experience in freight forwarding/transport/logistics, or comparable qualification
- Profound knowledge in operational Europe-wide transport control (FTL, LTL, Groupage) including Carrier Management
- Structured, KPI-based, and independent working style with strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication skills, teamwork ability, enjoyment of operational work; initial leadership experience advantageous
- Proficient in MS Office; SAP knowledge required (SAP-TM & ECC advantageous); Transport Management System knowledge advantageous
- Business fluent German and English
Tasks
- Operate and manage FTL, LTL, and Groupage transports
- Process transport tickets
- Handle transport complaints
- Perform transport price checks
- Conduct transport planning
- Ensure on-time, in-full delivery (OTIF)
- Manage transport lead times
- Maintain transport data quality
- Monitor transport-related KPIs
- Perform benchmarking for transport KPIs
- Identify transport optimization potential
- Support implementation of new carriers
- Support implementation of new transport processes
- Assist with TMS/ERP projects
- Coordinate with Purchasing, Customer Service, and Warehouse teams
- Coordinate with Regulatory teams
- Support customs-related inquiries
- Assist with dangerous goods topics
- Create guidelines and work instructions
- Support training initiatives
- Deputize for the supervisor in daily operations
- Coordinate the team
- Serve as a primary point of contact
