- •Prior knowledge in additive manufacturing, laser technology, or programming (NC, Python, C)

- •Adapt the software for the line scanner
- •Conduct experiments with various parameter variations in the LMD process
- •Digitize the results of the experiments
- •Use algorithms to extract surface characteristics like roughness and waviness
- •Develop a machine learning model for automatic detection of surface defects
- •Create process maps to identify suitable parameter areas for LMD processes
