Requirements
- Degree in technical writing, communication, translation, or related field
- Technical background with further training as technical writer
- Vocational training as technician with several years experience as technical writer
- High level of written and spoken English and German
- Initial experience with CMS, SolidWorks Composer, Adobe Creative Cloud
- Strong cross-functional collaboration and communication skills
- Ability to analyze and convey technical information clearly
- Prior professional experience in technical documentation is an asset
- Good knowledge of relevant standards and regulations
Tasks
- Create and revise technical documents using SCHEMA ST4
- Develop user manuals, pre-installation requirements (PIRs), software manuals, and service information in English
- Create graphics using SolidWorks Composer, Adobe Illustrator, or Photoshop
- Independently research and prepare technical information
- Plan, coordinate, and execute documentation projects
- Compile complete documentation packages for customer delivery
- Ensure technical documentation complies with standards and regulations
- Manage translations via CMS
- Stay updated on technical documentation trends, including multimedia and tutorials
- Provide input for process and tooling optimization, including AI tools
