Requirements

  • •University degree in computer science, mathematics, natural sciences, or similar field
  • •Extensive hands-on experience building, improving, and operating data platforms in high-volume environments
  • •Expert Level SQL, dbt & Python
  • •Skilled using Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, AWS CDK, or CloudFormation
  • •Expertise in AWS Cloud, especially data-native services (S3, Glue, Athena, Redshift) and security features (IAM, KMS, networking)
  • •Experience with data modelling in the modern data stack
  • •Workflow Orchestration: Apache Airflow, AWS Step Functions, or similar
  • •Containerization: Docker; Kubernetes is a plus
  • •Deep knowledge of Software Engineering best practices
  • •Ability to balance big picture with hands-on engineering and problem-solving
  • •Comfortable leveraging GenAI-assisted coding while maintaining high standards
  • •First experience acting as team or tech lead
  • •Ability to act as a trusted advisor and communicate complex technical topics clearly

Bachelor's degree

Tasks

  • •Lead and mentor a team of data engineers
  • •Own the architecture and development of the data platform
  • •Ensure scalability, security, and reliability of data pipelines
  • •Automate platform operations and streamline data workflows
  • •Act as the primary contact for data engineering teams
  • •Collaborate to set standards for data engineering excellence
  • •Remain hands-on in architecting, coding, and deploying solutions
  • •Drive adoption of modern tooling and GenAI-assisted coding
