Technical Sales Account Manager - Industrial Additives(m/w/x)
Selling specialty chemicals and polymers for industrial applications across Europe. Technical sales experience with specialty chemicals required. Hybrid work, 30-50% travel.
Requirements
- University degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, or technical discipline
- Technical or specialty chemical sales experience (ideally 5–10 years, 2–3 years considered)
- Technical understanding of specialty chemicals, polymers, applications
- Experience in Metalworking Fluids or Greases beneficial
- Familiarity with value-based or Challenger sales methodologies
- Knowledge of Lubrizol’s product portfolio and service offerings advantageous
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Proficiency in CRM tools (preferably Microsoft Dynamics)
- Basic SAP knowledge
- Fluency in German
- Fluency in English
- Additional languages such as Turkish advantageous
- Willingness and ability to travel within Europe
Tasks
- Execute product line and market strategies
- Grow Lubrizol’s share in selected market segments
- Develop and expand customer relationships
- Understand and meet customer needs
- Identify growth opportunities
- Support innovative product introductions
- Lead commercial negotiations
- Develop and close sales proposals
- Collaborate with Product Management and Technical Service
- Maintain accurate forecasts and reports
- Document expenses
- Enhance market intelligence
- Provide industry trend insights
- Monitor competition and customer developments
