Requirements

  • Several years of strategic procurement experience, ideally in freight wagon industry or logistics
  • Solid GCU knowledge (advantageous)
  • Proven leadership experience
  • Extensive expertise in contract drafting, negotiation, claim management
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills
  • Analytical, structured, solution-oriented mindset
  • Hands-on attitude
  • Very good German and English command
  • Willingness to travel (approx. 20%)

Tasks

  • Lead and develop the Strategic Procurement function
  • Establish framework agreements with Railway Undertakings, logistics providers, material suppliers, and refurbishment workshops
  • Negotiate these framework agreements
  • Conclude these framework agreements
  • Lead the European GCU Claim Handling Team
  • Manage GCU claim management, including escalation handling
  • Develop sustainable procurement strategies
  • Implement sustainable procurement strategies
  • Monitor KPIs
  • Manage suppliers
  • Assess risks
  • Collaborate with Technical Operations, Market Operations, Finance & Controlling, and Legal

Work Experience

  • approx. 4 - 6 years

Education

  • Bachelor's degreeOR
  • Master's degree
