Team Lead Security Engineering(m/w/x)

Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in software development, application security, or comparable technical field
• 2–3 years in a lead role with multi-team or product responsibility
• Degree in computer science, IT security, software engineering, or comparable STEM field
• Ideally excellent academic results
• Solid hands-on experience with Jira or similar ALM tools
• Strong familiarity with modern development practices and security tools
• Fluent German and English skills, spoken and written
• Confidence communicating with technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Highly structured, organized, and pragmatic personality
• Strong communication skills and sound decision-making
• Ability to influence, build trust, and drive change

Tasks

• Build and lead a cross-functional security engineering team
• Foster a modern, delivery-oriented security culture
• Assign a dedicated security owner to every core product
• Plan and prioritize security backlogs transparently in Jira
• Manage end-to-end security backlogs across all products
• Consolidate findings from audits, tools, and external reports
• Create clear security tickets within product Jira projects
• Steer a Kanban-based workflow for the central security team
• Drive cross-product improvements through reusable patterns and templates
• Implement security-focused refactorings across products
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Tech Leads, and Engineering Management
• Partner with the Information Security Manager
• Report security progress and risks regularly to management
• Make security capacity needs measurable and visible
