Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- Several years of experience in Linux server administration
- Experience with Elasticsearch, Logstash, and related technologies
- In-depth knowledge of Linux operating systems (e.g., RHEL, Ubuntu)
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or Perl
- Good understanding of networking concepts and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
- Strong security awareness and experience handling security vulnerabilities
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Clear communication skills to explain technical topics to end users
- Team-oriented mindset and willingness to support colleagues
Tasks
- Install, configure, and manage Linux servers
- Plan and implement new servers
- Maintain existing systems
- Perform regular updates and patching
- Monitor security bulletins and implement patches
- Identify and remediate security vulnerabilities
- Develop and manage a logging platform using Elasticsearch and Logstash
- Ensure reliable collection and storage of log data
- Monitor and optimize logging infrastructure performance
- Perform regular updates and maintenance activities
- Diagnose and resolve system performance issues
- Analyze server performance and implement optimizations
- Advise and support end users on server needs
- Provide training for effective server resource use
- Automate recurring tasks using scripting and tooling
- Create and update operational and system documentation
- Participate in IT projects to modernize infrastructure
