Requirements
- BSc or MSc in electronics, telecommunication, robotics, software engineering, computer science, physics or equivalent
- 5+ years work experience as systems engineer, product owner, function engineer or equivalent
- Knowledge of automotive norms and processes (ASPICE, ISO 26262)
- Ability to communicate technical project aspects in English
- Successful collaboration with software development engineers, project managers, product owners, system leads, architects
- Excellent 360-degree communication and teamwork skills
- High motivation and dedication
- Hands-on mentality, independence, and initiative
- Willingness for international and intercontinental travel
Tasks
- Serve as primary contact for internal and external stakeholders
- Act as subject matter expert for assigned systems
- Own system design, development, and integration
- Negotiate system requirements
- Define system architecture
- Write system documentation
- Establish and enforce quality control measures
- Coordinate algorithm development
- Coordinate vehicle and independent testing
- Coordinate validation activities
- Coordinate software engineering
- Represent Aptiv as product expert at customer meetings
- Analyze technical issues for assigned functions
- Verify technical issues in vehicles
- Participate in regulated test drives (NCAP/NTSA)
- Communicate project status to management and executives
- Travel internationally multiple times annually
- Drive test vehicles to verify functions
- Verify bug reports
- Analyze feature performance
