Requirements
- •Master’s degree in electronics
- •10+ years of work experience in complex automotive systems
- •10+ years of experience in ISO 26262, SN 29500, IEC
- •Expertise in automotive engineering, product/process/tooling
- •Strong knowledge in ISO 26262 (FuSa), SN 29500
- •Strong knowledge in Medini Analyze and predicted reliability computation
- •Good knowledge in ISO/PAS 8800 (Safety and AI)
- •Good knowledge of automotive regulations and standards related to ADAS
- •Good knowledge in ADAS/ADS/cockpit systems and SDV/SVA paradigm
- •Good knowledge in HIL/PIL (Hardware/Processor in the Loop)
- •Ability for communication to C-Level
- •Good knowledge in artificial intelligence
- •Demonstrated ability to take E2E lead on key issues
- •Ability to listen and coach functional safety and engineering teams
- •Ability to interpret trends in the global ecosystem impacting APTIV
- •Fluency in English and ideally one more language

- •Stay updated on automotive safety trends, products, processes, and tooling
- •Analyze competitor safety technical solutions and strategies
- •Benchmark competitor safety technical solutions
- •Influence the future Aptiv safety architecture
- •Anticipate internal and external safety needs
- •Respond urgently to customer and leadership technical safety inquiries
- •Contribute to RFI, RFQ, and project execution as needed
- •Engage in safety escalation for problem resolution
- •Enhance the safety process based on lessons learned
- •Develop methods and tools to streamline product safety development, including AI assistance
- •Integrate functional safety lifecycle into DevOps/CI-CD framework
- •Promote HIL/PIL from a safety perspective
- •Participate in ISO committees to influence compliance, such as ISO/WG8 related to ISO 26262
- •Engage with relevant HW safety international organizations
- •Mentor on Predicted Reliability computation and Medini Analyze usage
- •Serve as a referent in FMEDA, FTA, Predicted Reliability computation, common cause failure analysis, and diagnostic coverage principles
- •Support the engineering team, including safety teams, in executing the hardware safety lifecycle
- •Foster strong relationships with Principal System and Software Functional Safety Engineers
- •Develop synergies between SYS, HW, and SW engineering domains
- •Build a strong network within the Aptiv Safety community across teams
