Requirements

  • •10+ years industry experience in designing, building, and supporting large scale systems
  • •Strong computer science fundamentals including data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems
  • •Systems programming skills including multi-threading, concurrency, caching
  • •Fluency in Java or other similar procedural object-oriented language
  • •Track record of identifying and implementing creative solutions
  • •Knowledge of database internals
  • •BS in Computer Science; Masters or PhD preferred

  • •Solve real business needs at scale
  • •Build next-generation transaction systems
  • •Develop a highly-parallel and fault-tolerant database system
  • •Implement a decentralized caching system for terabytes of metadata
  • •Design and implement high-performance systems for growing database requests
  • •Create core infrastructure features including APIs and DDL transactions
  • •Develop advanced features like cloning, time travel, snapshots, and replication
  • •Analyze and resolve performance and scalability bottlenecks
  • •Work on background services for the multi-level metadata system
  • •Ensure operational readiness and meet customer commitments for availability and performance
