Description

As a Principal Software Engineer in Metadata, you will tackle large-scale business challenges, design robust database systems, and implement foundational features that enhance performance and scalability, all while ensuring operational excellence.

Requirements

• •14+ years industry experience designing, building, and supporting large scale systems
• •Strong computer science fundamentals including data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems
• •Sharp original thinking to make the right choices and guide teams
• •Systems programming skills including multi-threading, concurrency, caching
• •Fluency in Java or other similar procedural object-oriented language
• •Track record of identifying and implementing creative solutions to complex problems
• •Knowledge of database internals
• •Ability to work effectively across engineering teams in multiple locations
• •BS in Computer Science; Masters or PhD Preferred

• •Design and develop a highly-parallel, fault-tolerant database system
• •Implement a decentralized caching system for terabytes of metadata
• •Design and implement core features like transactions and metadata API
• •Develop advanced features such as declarative entity management
• •Analyze performance and scalability bottlenecks and resolve them
• •Ensure operational readiness and meet customer commitments for availability and performance
