Staff Controls / PLC Engineer(m/w/x)
Developing control algorithms for industrial automation systems in MedTech products. Extensive robotics and automation experience, IEC 61131-3 Structured Text programming required. Regular travel for global system commissioning.
Requirements
- Outstanding technical capabilities and leadership skills
- Diploma or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or related field
- Extensive experience in robotics and automation
- Analytical and structured working methodology
- Programming according to IEC 61131-3 Structured Text
- Expert in Object-oriented programming
- Experience with CANopen and EtherCAT
- Experience with DC motor control systems
- Familiarity with version control systems such as SVN/GIT and Azure DevOps/GitHub
- Experience in System and Reliability Engineering
- Strong documentation skills and practical experience in developing models
- Stakeholder management and networking skills
- Experience in common Quality methods
- Experience with MS Project or similar project management tool
- Excellent MS Office skills
- Team player with strong communication skills
- Proficiency in English; German language skills are desirable
Tasks
- Develop control algorithms
- Ensure PLC and machine control functionality
- Commission systems across diverse projects
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Lead automation projects and track milestones
- Contribute to system architecture and design
- Evaluate and select components for projects
- Implement and verify control system designs
- Stay updated on emerging control technologies
- Recommend process and design improvements
- Build relationships with project managers and engineers
- Follow regulatory requirements and design procedures
- Create and maintain technical documentation
