Description

In this role, you will focus on ensuring software quality by designing and executing tests for the CSIM spacecraft simulator. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve automating test processes, analyzing outputs, and collaborating with engineering teams to enhance the simulator's performance.

Requirements

• •Fundamentals of spacecraft systems engineering, AIV, or spacecraft operations
• •Simulation-based verification and validation principles
• •Spacecraft operational concepts and procedures
• •Scripting or programming in at least one high-level language (e.g. JavaScript, Groovy, C++)
• •Ability to read, understand, and debug existing source code
• •Strong analytical skills for investigating complex technical issues
• •Experience with spacecraft simulators or emulators
• •Familiarity with mission control and monitoring systems (e.g. SCOS-2000, GCS-CC, SIRIUS, Proteus MCS, Open MCS)
• •Knowledge of SIMULUS or similar simulation frameworks
• •Exposure to automated testing in safety-critical systems
• •Experience with large-scale or multi-spacecraft simulation scenario
• •Development of testing plans

Tasks

• •Design and execute manual and automated tests for the CSIM spacecraft simulator
• •Convert operational procedures into reproducible test scenarios
• •Support large-scale and worst-case constellation simulations
• •Conduct end-to-end tests
• •Develop scripts to automate tests and complex operational sequences
• •Manage simulator state vectors for repeatable testing
• •Monitor system behavior under stress and identify anomalies
• •Analyze simulator outputs and assist engineering teams with debugging
• •Improve test coverage, robustness, and usability of the simulator
