Spacecraft Operations Engineer(m/w/x)
Supporting Earth Observation mission operations, spacecraft anomaly resolution, and ground segment system development for ESA. Experience in mission operations and ground infrastructure knowledge required. Assistance during recruitment process.
Requirements

- Knowledge of large operations and associated software systems, preferably space-based

- Minimum three years direct experience in flight operations and ground systems engineering

- Demonstrated experience interfacing with external/international partners on instrument operations
- Strong demonstrated capacity for teamwork
- High self-motivation, autonomy, and ability to work in interdisciplinary team
- Eligibility to access export-controlled information and acquire security clearance
- Good knowledge of one of the mentioned domains
Tasks
- Assist in defining, preparing, and executing mission operations
- Support spacecraft and ground segment anomaly resolution
- Evaluate and report on mission performance
- Specify and develop ground segment systems and operational products
- Maintain and evolve ground segment systems
- Interface with Agency areas, industry, user community, and external centers
- Provide expert support to ESA programs and activities
- Serve as Operations Architect for mission operations
- Support space-to-ground interfaces
- Prepare for new missions to be operated by the Unit
- Participate in mission reviews and operations
- Provide ad hoc satellite operations and ground segment reports
- Support operations preparation, system validation tests, and launch phases
