Requirements

  • •Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
  • •HV Authorised Person experienced with HV Systems
  • •Electrical/Mechanical Engineering HNC or HND or completed apprenticeship
  • •C&G Pts. 1 & 2, equivalent or exceeds
  • •17th Edition IEE: Wiring and Installation, ability to attain 18th Edition
  • •C&G 2391 test and inspection; BS 7671:2001 for inspection, testing and certification
  • •Proven experience in data centre operations management
  • •Thorough understanding of data centre infrastructure
  • •Strong leadership and team management skills
  • •Knowledge of industry best practices and regulatory requirements
  • •Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • •Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • •Familiarity with data centre management software and monitoring tools

Education

Bachelor's degree
OR
Vocational certification

Work Experience

approx. 1 - 4 years

Tasks

  • •Oversee daily operations of the data centre
  • •Manage maintenance and repair of critical facility systems
  • •Ensure compliance with manufacturer's recommendations and regulations
  • •Monitor key performance indicators for improvement
  • •Implement preventive maintenance programs to enhance reliability
  • •Lead a team of technicians and engineers
  • •Set performance expectations and conduct evaluations
  • •Foster teamwork and continuous improvement
  • •Manage staffing needs, including hiring and training
  • •Act as primary contact for clients on operational matters
  • •Communicate regularly with clients to understand their needs
  • •Collaborate with sales to support client acquisition
  • •Ensure compliance with industry standards and security protocols
  • •Assess and mitigate operational risks for business continuity
  • •Develop emergency response and contingency plans
  • •Prepare and manage the operations budget
  • •Review costs and negotiate vendor contracts
