Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in cell biology, molecular biology, biochemistry, or related field
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in laboratory, technical support, or troubleshooting
- Direct customer contact experience
- In-depth theoretical and practical knowledge in next-generation sequencing (NGS)
- Expertise in NGS sample preparation
- Expertise in common molecular biology techniques
- Analytical thinking and understanding of complex customer workflows
- Ability to quickly familiarize with new portfolio strategies
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to present complex technical solutions understandably
- Ability to convey technical solutions effortlessly to users
- Independent and structured work style
- Ability to work on far-reaching tasks with minimal guidance

Tasks
- Serve as a technical expert for products
- Lead complex projects and support cross-functional teams
- Mentor junior team members in troubleshooting and defining requirements
- Collaborate with the development team to support new assays
- Assist potential partners in developing new assays
- Handle complex Level 2 inquiries independently
- Design and optimize training programs for internal teams and customers
- Conduct training sessions in small groups and at regional support centers
- Create and review customer-focused documentation and technical application notes
- Represent the service and application perspective in design review teams
- Lead projects to ensure design changes meet functional requirements
- Ensure compliance with the Roche quality system
- Identify opportunities for process optimization
- Help shape new departmental procedures
- Take on additional tasks and projects as needed
