Description

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will design and maintain an optimization platform while collaborating with data scientists. This role involves mentoring team members, implementing algorithms, and enhancing the tech stack to ensure efficient operations.

Requirements

• •5+ years experience in Software Engineering (Backend and algorithmic) in the cloud
• •2-3 years experience with Python including object-oriented design
• •2+ years experience in onboarding, mentoring and coaching colleagues in junior positions
• •Full business proficiency in English
• •Familiarity with AWS cloud platform and services like Lambda, ECS
• •Experience and desire to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
• •Strategic and analytical thinking
• •Energy industry experience
• •Design thinking/sprint experience

Tasks

• •Design and maintain the optimization platform end-to-end
• •Implement data ingestion and processing
• •Develop optimization logic and battery control
• •Execute automated power trading and settlement
• •Collaborate with data scientists on optimization logic
• •Mentor and guide team members to enhance workflows
• •Define and promote engineering best practices
• •Teach engineers and data scientists about maintainable solutions
• •Support colleagues during onboarding and daily operations
• •Implement optimization and trading algorithms for immediate go-lives
• •Advance the platform with long-term strategic improvements
• •Maintain and enhance the tech stack and development environments
• •Build infrastructure for service development, testing, and integration
• •Monitor system performance and reliability
