Senior Safety & Compliance Specialist(m/w/x)
Driving safety and compliance for rocket component selection and HAZOPs at a space access startup. 8+ years in process safety and external interface management required. Virtual company share program, 30 days vacation.
Requirements
- Degree in mechanical, industrial, chemical, aerospace engineering or similar
- More than 8 years experience in process, plant & environmental safety
- Ideally knowledge in explosion protection, fire & gas protection
- Clear track-record of decision-making experience
- Managing interfaces with external suppliers, certification bodies, authorities
- Deep understanding of safety engineering principles
- HAZOP, FMEA, and risk assessment methodologies in regulated industries
- Deep experience with safety standards (IEC 61508/61511, ISO 13849, SIL/PL)
- Deep understanding of safety-critical components
- High level of ownership and accountability
- Outstanding communication skills
- Fluent in English
- Experience with CE marking, ATEX, UL, or comparable certification frameworks
- Knowledge of cryogenic systems, high-pressure systems, or hazardous fluid handling
- Affiliations with countries listed under § 13 para. 1 no. 17 SÜG may affect application process
