Senior / Principal Wheel Dynamics & Powertrain Integration Engineer(m/w/x)

Description

In this role, you will drive innovation in chassis systems by leading the development of control algorithms and integrating them with powertrain systems. Your expertise will optimize vehicle dynamics and stability while mentoring fellow engineers and collaborating across teams.

Requirements

• •Master’s degree in Vehicle Engineering, Control Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field
• •8–10+ years of experience in vehicle dynamics control algorithm development for production vehicles
• •Expertise in chassis and wheel dynamics control, including Traction Control, ESC, and ABS
• •Deep understanding of vehicle dynamics, tire behavior, and chassis–powertrain interaction
• •Knowledge of active chassis actuators
• •Extensive experience with model-based development and relevant toolchains
• •Successful experience in product development and release
• •Demonstrated ability to define product direction, innovate, and deliver new control technologies
• •Proven leadership experience, including mentoring and technical guidance
• •Fluency in English; German language skills are a plus

Tasks

• •Act as technical and product owner for Wheel Dynamics control algorithms
• •Lead design, development, and validation of control algorithms for Traction Control, ESC, and ABS
• •Integrate control logic between chassis and powertrain systems
• •Identify trends and promote innovative motion control solutions
• •Define architecture and requirements for optimal performance
• •Leverage model-based development for modeling, simulation, and verification
• •Optimize vehicle stability and wheel dynamics algorithms for electrified powertrains
• •Support vehicle testing and refine control logic
• •Collaborate with cross-functional teams for production integration
• •Mentor engineers and present technical ideas to influence product strategy
