Senior Manufacturing Engineer – Systems(m/w/x)

Requirements
- BSc/MSc in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Materials Engineering, or comparable
- 7-10+ years experience in aerospace, space, or high-tech manufacturing
- Deep understanding of at least two special processes (AM, coatings, welding/HT) and strong familiarity with third
- Proven industrialization leadership, TRL/MRL assessments, capability management
- Strong process engineering background with senior-level functional influence
- Experience leading cross-functional teams and driving complex technical programs
- Ability to guide specialists and challenge processes at senior engineering level
- Strong communication skills with ability to influence department strategy
- Automation & Digital Factory Focus, passion for factory digitalization and Industry 5.0
- Background in additive-/hybrid-manufacturing joining challenges
Tasks
- Lead cross-functional industrialization for multi-process assemblies
- Ensure alignment of TRL/MRL maturity and DFMA guidelines
- Conduct multi-process pFMEAs and integrated control plans
- Serve as senior escalation point for manufacturability risks
- Support smooth process handovers from development to production
- Define and maintain company-wide special process standards
- Establish long-term capability roadmaps for PE processes
- Lead internal readiness reviews and equipment validation
- Define and own cross-process KPIs
- Monitor non-conformity rates and manufacturing readiness milestones
- Standardize KPI reporting and dashboards across PE roles
- Lead large, strategic cross-functional projects
- Create multi-year roadmaps for capability growth
- Support specialists with project planning and risk management
- Challenge process design and integration readiness for AM components
- Validate cleanliness and contamination control for surface treatments
- Align welding/HT readiness with AM and surface treatment requirements
- Define the digital backbone for Production Engineering
- Implement AI tools to streamline documentation and reduce noise
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across multiple domains
- Lead root-cause investigations requiring combined expertise
- Define PE-wide standards for problem-solving and documentation
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards
