Senior Manager External Supply Onboarding(m/w/x)
Onboarding strategy development and execution for new Contract Manufacturing Organizations in specialty pharma. Master's degree and 5-10 years strategic purchasing experience in pharma required. Time-off account with compensatory time, 30 days vacation.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Business Management, Business Administration or comparable
- At least 5 - 10 years of relevant professional experience in strategic purchasing, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a strategic, results-driven approach
- Persuasiveness and resilience with excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Strong financial and efficiency acumen
- Confidence in using standard MS Office programs and project management tools (MS Project, Planner etc.)
- Strong planning and coordination skills with a cross-functional, collaborative mindset
- Fluency in English (written and spoken); proficiency in German (B1)
Tasks
- Develop and execute onboarding strategies for new Contract Manufacturing Organizations (CMOs)
- Conduct market analyses to identify potential suppliers
- Evaluate bids and negotiate contracts with CMOs
- Foster sustainable relationships with suppliers
- Review implemented CMOs with Project Management, Supply, and Quality teams
- Identify needs for additional sources or eliminate existing ones for cost efficiency
- Collaborate with departments to assess supply chain stability and minimize costs
- Stay updated on industry trends through events and conferences
- Ensure effective selection and seamless integration of CMOs
- Design and implement product integration strategies from deal closure to market readiness
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to establish project goals and timelines
- Manage the RFQ process by identifying and evaluating potential CMO vendors
- Prepare RFQ documentation and analyze supplier offers
- Negotiate terms and pricing with selected vendors
- Manage CMO communication and resolve issues during the onboarding process
- Support technology transfer processes for new CDMOs
