Requirements
- Fully qualified lawyer status (German legal system) with above-average degree
- At least 5 years significant M&A and corporate law experience
- Relevant professional experience in international law firm (M&A life sciences)
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
- Strong performance-driven mindset, pragmatism, persuasiveness, high responsibility
- Confident, integrative, interculturally savvy team player
- Business-fluent German and English negotiation skills
- Additional languages (e.g., Spanish) are a plus
Tasks
- Advise internal stakeholders on M&A legal matters
- Support cross-border M&A transactions end-to-end
- Conduct due diligence for M&A deals
- Structure and draft share and asset transactions
- Negotiate and execute M&A agreements
- Handle product and licensing transactions
- Contribute legally during M&A integration phases
- Support post-merger activities
- Ensure pragmatic and business-oriented legal solutions
- Manage external international M&A law firms
- Ensure quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness of external legal services
- Lead a team of Senior Legal Counsels M&A
- Develop and mentor team members
