Requirements
- Degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
- Proven track record in cost management/quantity surveying services
- Experience leading cost management commissions for large construction projects
- Technical knowledge of Data centre or related facility asset types
- Good knowledge of construction and procurement methods
- Experience with or managing team using multiple estimating tools
- Strong experience with spreadsheets and databases
- Collaborative approach and strong client/stakeholder relationships
- Good organization and multi-tasking skills
- English language skills required
- Fluent German language skills preferred
- Availability for fulltime on-site work
Tasks
- Act as primary cost management liaison with client and stakeholders
- Prepare cost estimates and manage procurement and tendering
- Conduct feasibility studies and write procurement reports
- Produce and present final cost plan
- Manage pre-qualification, tender list, preliminaries, and tender analysis
- Compile contractual documents
- Conduct timely and accurate cost checks and valuations
- Generate monthly post-contract cost reports
- Present cost reports to the client
- Interface with client and consultants at all project stages
- Participate in post-contract cost variances and change control
- Perform cost risk analysis and value engineering
- Negotiate and approve final accounts
- Maintain feedback and learning on cost estimating
- Contribute to best practices in estimating
