Senior Hardware Engineer(m/w/x)
Designing high-power energy storage electronics for transportation and grid applications. 5+ years electronics design experience required. Mobile working, freedom for own ideas.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of electronics design experience
- Hands-on experience transitioning designs to manufacturing
- Practical know-how in EoL testing, yield analysis, failure analysis, and production ramp-up improvement
- Experience in multidisciplinary teams
- Strong skills in schematic design, PCB layout, component selection, simulation, prototyping, and testing
- Proficiency in Altium Designer or comparable ECAD tool
- Experience with LTspice, Matlab, or similar simulation software
- Ability to prepare documentation and reports
- Basic data analysis skills in Excel or similar tools
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electronics, mechatronics, electrical engineering, or embedded systems
- Good verbal and written English
- Proactiveness, detail-orientation, and analytical skills
- Eagerness to learn and improve
Tasks
- Define electronics functionality
- Translate system requirements into hardware specifications
- Ensure compliance with standards, costs, and expectations
- Conduct risk, reliability, and redundancy analyses
- Develop electronics concepts
- Select components
- Design schematics and PCB layouts
- Design wiring and interfaces
- Perform electrical simulations and testing
- Support DFM/DFT activities with manufacturing
- Prepare and maintain design documentation
- Support hardware quality through validation testing
- Write hardware specifications
- Cooperate with test engineers
- Define and validate end-of-line testing
- Analyze yield data and failure modes
- Resolve design or process issues with manufacturing and quality teams
- Support troubleshooting
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and production teams
- Guide product builds
