Requirements

  • •Hands-on experience in design and construction of grid connections
  • •Experience in high-voltage substation design, construction, and commissioning
  • •Practical experience working with grid operators
  • •Familiarity with German electricity market and regulatory environment
  • •Experience with underground cable system design and routing
  • •Knowledge of power system studies; proficiency in related software is an advantage
  • •Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • •Willingness to conduct regular site visits
  • •High attention to detail and ability to deliver quality results under tight deadlines
  • •Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • •Excellent written and verbal communication skills in German and English

Tasks

  • •Lead the engineering phase of renewable projects
  • •Oversee technical assessments for grid infrastructure design
  • •Plan and estimate project costs
  • •Support procurement and environmental permitting
  • •Engage with stakeholders and manage risks
  • •Evaluate grid infrastructure feasibility and constructability
  • •Assess risks and CAPEX estimates during early project phases
  • •Act as the technical lead during the procurement phase
  • •Define specifications and requirements for grid infrastructure
  • •Evaluate technical proposals and support contract negotiations
  • •Provide engineering expertise to grid engineers throughout project phases
  • •Prepare and assure quality of technical specifications in tenders
  • •Ensure technical quality and compliance during project execution
  • •Manage technical interfaces between contractors
  • •Support technical due diligence processes
  • •Attend and supervise factory inspections and acceptance tests
  • •Supervise third-party engineers and external design services
  • •Plan, lead, and document project design reviews
  • •Ensure technical consistency with economic, scheduling, and regulatory objectives
  • •Conduct technical analysis to identify non-conformities and recommend solutions
