- Promote best practices in electrical design and implementation
- Support design and development of power systems (LV/MV, distribution, load balancing)
- Design electrical installations across labs and facilities
- Design equipment-level electrical systems (laser, diagnostics, support systems)
- Ensure designs are practical, maintainable, and aligned to standards
- Help teams understand electrical demand vs facility capacity
- Help teams understand heat rejection and system efficiency
- Guide application of electrical design standards (IEC, DIN VDE, etc.)
- Guide safe installation practices
- Guide protection, grounding, and EMC principles
- Support development of consistent electrical design approaches
- Work with controls team for clear and structured electrical/control interfaces
- Integrate PLC systems and field devices
- Align on safety systems and interlocks
- Support understanding of PLC-based architectures
- Support understanding of safety circuits and system-level protection
- Provide oversight during electrical installation phases
- Guide system commissioning and testing
- Help resolve practical, on-site engineering challenges
