Requirements
- Professional experience in mechanical design of aerospace structures or similar
- Expert hands-on experience with 3D/2D CAD and PLM tools (Solidworks/PDM or Siemens NX/Teamcenter preferred)
- ECAD/MCAD knowledge appreciated
- Strong knowledge of ASME/ISO drawing standards
- Strong knowledge of mechanical design standards
- Strong analysis capabilities for mechanical elements
- Experience with requirement management tools (a plus)
- Ability to act as interface to key customers
- Managing technical assessments and negotiations
- Excellent English communication (written and verbal)
- Keen on fast-track developments and realisations
- Enjoyment of working in a highly flexible environment
- Ability and impact not summarized in bullet points
Tasks
- Lead mechanical design of complex drone products
- Create 3D and 2D design documents
- Integrate mechanical and electronic components
- Develop and implement design workflows
- Ensure traceability throughout product lifecycle
- Assess and define design requirements
- Perform risk assessments
- Lead mitigation activities
- Manage design safety aspects
- Conduct comprehensive assessments (DFMEA, FHA)
- Apply relevant design standards
- Ensure cost-effective, scalable, and robust designs
- Create comprehensive design documentation
- Adhere to industry and quality standards
