Requirements

  • •Seasoned leadership in technology and finance
  • •7+ years in Cloud FinOps or Cloud Financial Management
  • •Deep expertise in AWS cost structures
  • •Exceptional analytical and financial modeling skills
  • •Hands-on experience with engineering teams
  • •Experience in large-scale commercial negotiations
  • •Proven track record in building Cloud FinOps practice
  • •Proficiency with scripting (e.g., Python/Bash)
  • •Experience with third-party tools (e.g., Vantage, CloudHealth)

  • •Champion a culture of cost ownership across engineering teams
  • •Empower teams with dashboards, insights, and training for cost management
  • •Design and implement a universal resource tagging strategy
  • •Create robust showback and chargeback models for engineering teams
  • •Drive a company-wide optimization program for cloud costs
  • •Partner with engineering to refactor applications for cost efficiency
  • •Adopt new pricing models and eliminate systemic waste
  • •Develop and execute negotiation strategies with cloud vendors
  • •Right-size commitments to align with business strategy
  • •Build and operate a data-driven forecasting model
  • •Partner with Tech and Finance to provide a reliable cloud budget
