Requirements
- Master’s or Engineering degree in Automation, Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- 8–10 years in industrial automation
- Expertise in Foxboro and/or DeltaV
- Experience in Swiss industrial environment
- Experience in chemicals, pharmaceuticals or process industries preferred
- Strong knowledge of DCS systems
- Good PLC programming skills
- Knowledge of Siemens Step7: asset
- Solid background in EMSR / EIA and instrumentation
- GMP knowledge: plus
- French or German: professional proficiency preferred
- English: professional working level required
- Structured and analytical mindset
- High level of autonomy and ownership
- Strong client-facing attitude
- Teamwork and technical leadership capabilities

Tasks
- Perform functional analysis and define automation architectures
- Engineer, configure, and optimize Foxboro or DeltaV systems
- Participate in migrations, upgrades, and revamping projects
- Program and commission Siemens Step7 or other PLC systems
- Interface with third-party DCS platforms
- Prepare FDS, HDS, and SDS documentation
- Execute FAT, SAT, and IQ/OQ commissioning activities
- Define control and instrumentation philosophies
- Verify input data and compliance with applicable standards
- Contribute to EIA/EMSR architecture design
- Ensure quality of detailed engineering deliverables
- Coordinate with process, electrical, and mechanical teams
- Act as the primary technical contact for clients
- Lead automation and EIA work packages
- Monitor project schedules, costs, and progress
- Propose and present optimized technical solutions
- Support and mentor junior engineers
- Complete assignments at industrial sites across Switzerland
- Participate in commissioning and plant start-up
- Provide technical support during operations
