Senior Analog-/Mixed-Signal Design Engineer(m/w/x)

Requirements
- Experience with PCB design, system integration, chip testing
- Innovative IC Design Engineer with deep understanding of advanced analog design theory
- Strong background in analog/mixed-signal circuit design
- Low-power and low-leakage circuit design focus
- Master’s (or PhD) degree in Engineering Sciences or related field
- Focus on integrated circuit design (analog-/mixed-signal)
- 5+ years of experience in analog-/mixed-signal IC design
- Proven track record with 3+ successful tape-outs
- Complex IC design flows (65nm or below)
- Strong expertise in designing opamps
- Strong expertise in low-power circuits
- Strong expertise in low-leakage circuits
- Experience with industry-standard design tools
- Experience with Cadence Virtuoso
- Proficiency in parasitic extraction
- Proficiency in post-layout simulation
- Proficiency in verification methodologies (MC, corner)
- Understanding of device physics
- Understanding of fabrication processes
- Comfortable working and communicating in English
- German language skills (strong plus)
- Comfortable presenting design trade-offs to non-hardware team members
- Comfortable working across disciplines
- Willingness to take full ownership
- Fast-moving deep-tech startup environment adaptability
- Familiarity with advanced CMOS process nodes (e.g., 22nm)
- Experience with PCB design (e.g., Altium Designer)
- Debugging of analog-/mixed-signal circuits
- Experience with data converters (ADCs/DACs)

Tasks
- Design and validate analog and mixed-signal integrated circuits
- Simulate opamps, low-power circuits, ADCs, DACs, logic, and memory blocks
- Lead schematic design and simulation
- Perform layout and parasitic extraction
- Conduct post-layout simulations for design verification
- Integrate and sign off top-level designs
- Emphasize low-power performance and noise robustness
- Ensure proper physical design implementation
- Handle board-level design and integration
- Test and debug silicon prototypes in the lab
- Optimize performance and resolve issues
- Collaborate with teams to meet system-level requirements
- Maintain technical documentation for design, testing, and verification
