Requirements
- Around 5 years of professional accounting experience
- Strong, hands-on knowledge of US GAAP and/or IFRS
- Solid command of core accounting processes
- Experience across multiple entities or jurisdictions
- High attention to detail and structured, hands-on, self-driven working style
- Eagerness to use AI and modern tooling
- Fluency in English
- Knowledge of German GAAP (HGB) and German tax regulations
- Prior experience in B2B SaaS or scaling environment
- Working proficiency in German
Tasks
- Drive reliable, on-time month-end and year-end close
- Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations
- Collaborate with external auditors and tax advisors during close and audit cycles
- Manage cash accounting and cash steering for liquidity control
- Oversee end-to-end P2P process, including expense management and vendor payments
- Ensure accurate and compliant revenue accounting under IFRS/US GAAP
- Coordinate accounting across German, UK, Romanian, and future entities
- Act as a reliable backup for full accounting scope
- Lead in bringing accounting in-house for UK and future entities
- Participate in strategic finance projects like ERP implementation and entity setups
- Champion AI and modern tooling in finance for process improvements
- Identify opportunities for automation and smarter workflows
- Drive continuous process improvements for faster closes and cleaner books
