Requirements
- High school diploma
- Certificate or associate degree (or beyond) in Occupational Health Safety strongly preferred
- Thorough knowledge of applicable regulations (OSHA, ANSI, NFPA, ISO, DOT) for product and facility safety
- Communication skills with employees at all levels
- Excellent organizational skills, including work prioritization
- Ability to build trust and confidence with management and associates
- Strategic and analytical thinking
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office
Tasks
- Develop and implement safety programs.
- Inspect the workplace for potential hazards.
- Address identified safety hazards.
- Conduct employee training on safe work practices.
- Conduct employee training on equipment operation.
- Conduct employee training on emergency procedures.
- Keep records of safety incidents.
- Recommend and administer corrective measures.
- Complete OSHA recordkeeping and reporting.
- Review policies and procedures for improvements.
- Maintain safety data sheets.
- Maintain secondary container labeling system.
- Coordinate hazardous material shipping for Green Bay locations.
- Administer the worker's compensation program.
- Monitor OSHA and corporate safety standards for compliance.
- Engage employees to promote a safety culture.
Education
- High school diploma
