Requirements
- MSc/PhD in Computer Science, Robotics, or similar technical field, or equivalent practical experience
- 5+ years of software engineering and product development experience
- Proven programming in high-level languages with focus on efficient, robust, scalable data structures and algorithms
- Expert knowledge of solving optimization problems using suitable algorithms and data structures
- Extensive experience in data-driven environments with simulation and short time-to-market cycles
- Experience implementing optimization algorithms, graph algorithms, or ML inference in production systems
- Experience with performance profiling, benchmarking, and observability tools
- Experience in logistics, robotics, warehouse management, or material flow systems
- Strong communication and feedback practices with empathy
- Ownership, accountability, and self-organization
- Self-reflection and continuous learning
- Clarity in roles, responsibilities, and decision-making
- Transparency and proactive improvement proposals
- Conceptual and structural thinking for complex problems
Tasks
- Translate optimization algorithms into efficient Rust code
- Develop high-performance data structures
- Write safe, concurrent code for optimal performance
- Ensure systems meet performance and reliability targets
- Build unit, integration, and benchmark tests
- Validate implementations with Operational Researchers
- Identify and handle edge cases in algorithms
- Collaborate with researchers to clarify requirements
- Document code and algorithms for maintainability
- Support CI/CD and observability implementation
- Assist in prototyping new algorithms and ML pipelines
