Reliability Engineer for BEoL/MoL(m/w/x)

Requirements
- Master’s, Diploma or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, or related field
- Solid understanding of semiconductor device physics
- Solid understanding of BEOL integration schemes
- Experience with Electromigration (EM) reliability mechanisms
- Experience with Time-Dependent Dielectric Breakdown (TDDB) reliability mechanisms
- Experience with Stress Migration (SM) reliability mechanisms
- Experience with Temperature Cycling (TC) reliability mechanisms
- Strong expertise in statistical data analysis
- Proficiency with MATLAB
- Proficiency with JMP
- Proficiency with Minitab or similar tools
- Solid programming skills (Python)
- Solid programming skills (VBA or similar)
- Familiarity with physical failure analysis techniques
- Knowledge of reliability simulation tools
- Knowledge of reliability modeling tools
- Understanding of customer qualification requirements
- Understanding of customer qualification standards (e.g., JEDEC)
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Structured working approach
- Excellent communication skills in English (C1)
- German language skills (plus)
- Experience in semiconductor manufacturing environment
- Experience in foundry environment
- Experience in advanced technology nodes (<90 nm)
- Experience with embedded NVM applications
- Experience with RF applications
- Experience with analog/mixed-signal applications
- Experience with HV/BCD applications
- Hands-on experience with EDA-based EM/IR analysis
- Hands-on experience with EDA-based sign-off methodologies
- Hands-on experience with mission profile analysis
Tasks
- Focus on interconnect reliability
- Collaborate with global design, process, and integration stakeholders
- Develop and execute BEOL/MOL reliability technology qualifications
- Analyze reliability test data
- Drive failure root cause investigations
- Define reliability requirements
- Ensure compliance with customer, internal, and global standards
- Optimize metallization schemes and materials
- Assess reliability risks for new processes and design changes
- Drive MRB/PCRB decisions
- Integrate inline metrology, electrical testing, and reliability data
- Own reliability-related design rules and models
- Enhance reliability methodologies, models, and simulation approaches
- Leverage AI-assisted techniques
- Prepare technical reports
- Present results to internal stakeholders and customers
- Support R&D projects
- Contribute to international conferences and workshops
