Description

As an RF Engineering Intern, you will engage in designing communication systems for spacecraft, testing their performance, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. You will also collaborate with suppliers and document your findings.

Requirements

• •Deep understanding of RF communication principles
• •Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Aerospace Engineering, or related field
• •Knowledge of RF circuit design and antenna theory and design for space applications
• •Solid experience in RF equipment design, test and validation
• •Knowledge of spacecraft communication protocols and standards (e.g., CCSDS)
• •Familiarity with space mission lifecycle, including design, integration, testing, and operations phases
• •Knowledge of space-qualified hardware and environmental challenges (radiation, thermal, vacuum) is a plus

Tasks

• •Design RF communication systems for spacecraft
• •Define requirements and select RF equipment suppliers
• •Conduct testing and validation of RF systems
• •Perform simulations and hardware-in-the-loop testing
• •Execute in-orbit testing post-launch
• •Interface with suppliers during design and manufacturing
• •Ensure compliance with RF communication regulatory standards
• •Coordinate with agencies like NASA, ESA, and ITU
• •Document technical designs, analyses, and test results
• •Provide regular updates to the project team
