Requirements

- Software engineering in Python
- Quantum information and QEC theory understanding
- Modelling errors in quantum circuits or hardware
- Digital and analog features of quantum control hardware familiarity
- Large-scale quantum processor experiments experience
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills
- Reproducible and usable code and documentation
- Collaboration in diverse, multidisciplinary team
- PhD in a relevant discipline (strong plus)
- Experimental quantum computing research or development experience (highly beneficial)
Tasks
- Implement quantum error correction experiments
- Execute benchmark and demonstration experiments
- Analyse results of QEC experiments
- Report findings from QEC experiments
- Develop features for Quantum Computer Control Software
- Collaborate with quantum physicists and software engineers
- Contribute to QEC protocol development
- Evaluate decoding approaches for quantum processors
- Model error processes in quantum circuits
- Analyse hardware experiments for error processes
- Identify technology stack requirements
- Propose improvements to tools and workflows
- Support fault-tolerant quantum computing roadmap
- Participate in team discussions
- Coordinate experiments with team members
- Drive progress in QEC development
