Project Planning and Commissioning Engineer – Functional Safety(m/w/x)

Requirements
- Several years of experience in design and commissioning of safety-related systems in process automation
- Practical experience with safety-related controllers (e.g., ABB 800xA Safety, HIMA) and knowledge of relevant standards (IEC 61508, IEC 61511), risk analyses, and SIL classifications
- Innovative, customer-oriented, and solution-focused with commitment, teamwork, and flexibility
- Completed technical degree (ideally in automation engineering, electrical engineering, or functional safety) or further training as a technician with relevant professional experience
- Confident communication in German and English, both written and spoken
- Willingness to travel for commissioning projects lasting several days to several weeks, both domestically and internationally
Tasks
- Act as the technical lead for safety-related systems
- Ensure efficient and cost-effective implementation of engineering activities
- Serve as the technical contact for safety-related automation systems
- Coordinate and create safety-related hardware and system documentation
- Structure the scope of supply for safety-relevant hardware and software
- Monitor deadlines and compliance with legal requirements
- Plan, configure, and test safety-related automation systems
- Conduct safety acceptance tests and validations
- Commission safety-related systems and create project documentation
- Act as the central point of contact for projects, customers, and suppliers
- Support and train customers in operating and maintaining safety systems
- Assist sales with technical clarification and concept development
- Collaborate with international teams on functional safety projects
