Requirements

  • Bachelor's or FH degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, mechatronics, software engineering, or comparable technical field
  • Approximately 2 years of relevant professional experience in production, manufacturing, or hardware engineering environment
  • Solid Python skills for automating test routines, data analysis, or production processes
  • Good feel for fine mechanics and experience handling sensitive, high-precision components and assemblies
  • Basic understanding of automation technology and systematic production automation
  • Basic knowledge of optical systems or components (advantageous, not strict requirement)
  • Experience with image processing (e.g. OpenCV) (advantageous)
  • Structured, independent work manner with ownership and team connection
  • Business fluent German and good working level English

Tasks

  • Drive industrialization and stabilization of semi-automated production line
  • Identify and resolve technical bottlenecks to improve throughput and repeatability
  • Develop and implement automation solutions for production setups
  • Script and tool in Python to streamline manual steps and improve process reliability
  • Monitor production quality and yield continuously
  • Identify root causes of deviations and report results with clear recommendations
  • Guide and support production operators in daily assembly tasks
  • Ensure adherence to assembly instructions and quality standards
  • Maintain material availability and initiate timely reorders
  • Coordinate with procurement to ensure production continuity
  • Handle sensitive optical and mechanical assemblies in cleanroom and lab environments
  • Document production processes and work instructions
  • Record and track improvement measures
  • Collaborate with R&D, Industrialization, and Quality teams
  • Implement design-for-manufacturing improvements
  • Support new product introductions
