Operations Manager(m/w/x)
Overseeing LiDAR sensor production and component sourcing for a hardware technology firm. 3-5 years of operations management experience required. Agile setup with monthly sprints and releases.
Requirements
- 3-5 years operations, production, or supply chain management experience, ideally in hardware technology
- Team leadership experience: guiding, motivating, and developing people
- Hands-on experience across at least two operational disciplines (procurement, production, supply chain, logistics)
- Experience with contract manufacturers or global production partners (quality assurance, delivery management)
- Familiarity with optomechanical components, semiconductors, or complex electronic assemblies
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in industrial engineering, mechanical/electrical engineering, economics, or comparable technical field
- Business fluency in German and English (written and spoken)
- Willingness to travel to Asia approximately twice a year
Tasks
- Lead and develop the Munich-based production team
- Ensure efficient, high-quality manufacturing of LiDAR sensors
- Manage production in line with delivery commitments and cost targets
- Lead and develop the procurement team
- Oversee sourcing, negotiation, and on-time supply of components
- Manage global contract manufacturers and production partners
- Qualify and manage performance of contract manufacturers
- Initiate and drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Manage the sourcing network for critical components
- Negotiate supplier contracts and ensure long-term supply security
- Coordinate global logistics and shipping operations
- Collaborate with logistics partners for reliable, cost-efficient delivery
- Support worldwide inventory and warehouse management
- Optimize stock levels and reduce lead times
- Ensure product availability across all regions
- Collaborate with R&D, Quality, Industrialization, Sales, and Finance
- Support product development and operational ramp-up
- Work closely with parent company Senstar
- Align processes and coordinate on shared topics
- Contribute to group-wide operational excellence
- Act as escalation point for supply chain, quality, and logistics issues
- Drive appropriate countermeasures with speed and clarity
- Continuously improve processes across Production and Procurement
- Build reliable, scalable structures for a fast-growing company
- Monitor procurement and logistics markets
- Proactively flag and address operational risks
