Requirements
- Master's degree in Organic Chemistry, Biochemistry, Food Science/Technology, or related field
- Knowledge of food processing
- Minimum 3 years of progressive experience in R&D roles within the food industry
- At least 2 years leading or managing technical projects from conception to commercialization
- Proven experience in developing and optimizing products for baked goods, confectionery, dairy products, and/or plant-based applications
- Experience with baked goods, as a chef, or in foodservice
- Fluency in German and English, both written and spoken
- In-depth R&D knowledge in fats and oils chemistry, modification techniques, and process technologies
- Advanced knowledge in baked goods, confectionery, dairy products, and plant-based applications
- Strong project management expertise in leading customer-oriented R&D projects
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills for complex technical and business challenges
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Ability to make data-driven decisions with customer focus
- Collaborative work style and effective communication
- Readiness to solve problems and take action under pressure
Tasks
- Lead end-to-end R&D projects for B2B product development
- Manage project scope, timelines, resources, and risks
- Oversee strategic initiatives in baked goods, confectionery, dairy, and plant-based applications
- Ensure structured prioritization and efficient resource allocation
- Implement project management best practices and effective stakeholder communication
- Develop and optimize new and existing products and processes
- Apply knowledge in fats and oils chemistry and food science principles
- Integrate market trends and scientific advancements into innovation
- Conduct shelf-life studies and market analyses for actionable insights
- Promote a unified team approach and facilitate knowledge exchange
- Prepare and lead internal and external communications and training sessions
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders and customers
- Utilize data for transparent tracking of projects and priorities
- Provide progress overviews to support data-driven decisions
- Identify and implement efficiency improvements for resource utilization
