Principal Systems/Equipment Qualification Engineer(m/w/x)
EASA Part 21 compliance verification for aircraft connectivity retrofit projects at aerospace service provider for commercial and defense. Current EASA Part 21J CVE appointment essential. 32 vacation days, paid emergency, wedding, moving, and bereavement days.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical / Avionics or Aerospace / Aeronautical Engineering
- Ten years relevant experience in the aviation industry
- Current or recent employment in the aerospace industry with an EASA Part 21J Design Organisation or equivalent
- Current or recent appointment as an EASA Compliance Verification Engineer (CVE)
- Comprehensive working knowledge of EASA regulatory and airworthiness requirements
- Knowledge and experience of connectivity systems and modification programs
- Experience in technical leadership of large aircraft modification projects
- High level of attention to detail and professional integrity
- Ability to prioritise workloads and show flexibility
- Ability to work effectively with colleagues and customers
- Proven ability to mentor and coach engineering team members
- Integrity exemplifying Boeing values of Safety & Quality, Trust, Ownership, Innovation and People Focus
- Enjoyment of working in a collaborative environment and sharing knowledge
- Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent
Tasks
- Identify requirements and solutions for connectivity projects
- Lead engineering activities to ensure design compliance
- Approve engineering deliverables as an EASA Part 21 Compliance Verification Engineer
- Serve as a subject-matter expert in connectivity systems
- Interact with part 21G POA and Part 145 regulatory authorities
- Guide the engineering team in creating documentation for continued airworthiness
- Compile wiring diagrams and installation drawings
- Develop service bulletins and accomplishment instructions
- Create aircraft and component manual ICA supplements
- Guide engineers in compiling certification documents for compliance
- Develop equipment qualification and test plans
- Provide strategic guidance on component qualification and system integration
- Build relationships with suppliers and stakeholders
- Represent Boeing in customer meetings for project support
- Provide on-site support during the embodiment phase of projects
- Travel nationally and internationally to meet with teams and customers
