Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum 10 years aviation/aerospace industry experience with 5 years in EASA Part 21 Design environment
  • Knowledge of commercial aircraft interiors
  • Working knowledge of EASA regulatory and airworthiness requirements including (E)TSO, CS-25, CFR Part 25 & Part 21J design organizations, ideally with previous experience as an EASA CVE in a DOA
  • Experience in working effectively with colleagues and customers
  • Principled, reliable professional valuing integrity, safety, and accountability
  • Occasional domestic and/or international travel may be required

Tasks

  • Develop and oversee certification programs
  • Create and manage compliance checklists
  • Liaise with the agency on STC and major design change applications
  • Assist in developing best practice materials for the design organization
  • Deliver training for design best practices
  • Monitor new regulations and guidance materials issued by the agency
  • Ensure design activities comply with approval terms
  • Verify correct classification of design changes and repairs
  • Prepare compliance documents to demonstrate regulatory adherence
  • Conduct root cause analysis and develop corrective actions after audits
  • Perform root cause analysis and corrective actions for occurrences
  • Implement strategic initiatives to improve design organization performance
  • Assist with technical reviews of completed projects
  • Attend milestone project meetings for airworthiness oversight
  • Participate in technical and safety review boards
