Requirements

  • •Bachelor or Master degree in vehicle engineering, mechanical and electronic engineering, automation, electrical and electronic engineering, or related field
  • •Profound experience in functional safety development of braking systems or chassis electronics
  • •Experience in ESP/IBooster/IBP/EMB functional safety design at system level and software level
  • •Experience in functional safety development of ABS/TCS/ESC
  • •Experience with failure monitoring and diagnosis strategy of braking systems for functional safety
  • •Experience with CANape/Analyzer and Matlab/Simulink/CarMaker/CarSim
  • •Experience with CarMaker preferred
  • •Familiarity with HARA, FMEA, FTA, and other failure analysis methods
  • •Familiarity with automotive functional safety standards such as ISO 26262
  • •Fluency in written and spoken English

Tasks

  • •Develop functional safety for intelligent chassis systems
  • •Define functional safety variation strategy
  • •Establish failure diagnosis and safe state strategies
  • •Participate in hardware and software design reviews
  • •Collect, analyze, and manage functional safety requirements
  • •Write system requirements specifications
  • •Build system function modeling and simulation for HARA
  • •Create functional safety test scenarios and cases
  • •Formulate system verification and integration test specifications
  • •Assist with subsystem test planning and execution
  • •Provide technical support during development and production
  • •Research state-of-the-art functional safety strategies
