Tasks
- Operate, maintain, test, repair, service, and store electrical generating equipment.
- Operate, maintain, test, repair, service, and store water distribution systems.
- Operate, maintain, test, repair, service, and store flood lights.
- Operate, maintain, test, repair, service, and store air compressors.
- Operate, maintain, test, repair, service, and store aircraft arresting systems.
- Perform required inspections and scheduled maintenance.
- Troubleshoot repair situations on assigned equipment.
- Ensure compliance with the Performance Work Statement.
- Examine electrical equipment and systems for damage, corrosion, and operation.
- Connect and utilize test equipment like voltmeters, ammeters, megohmmeters, and oscilloscopes.
- Use common hand tools, tubing and conduit benders, and threading machines.
- Utilize soldering irons and grounding systems.
- Erect, repair, and service electrical power distribution systems and equipment.
- Bench check repairable components, subassemblies, and solid-state components using test equipment and load banks.
- Test gauges and meters for accuracy and reliability.
- Interpret electrical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and maintenance data to prevent system failures.
- Analyze malfunctions through inspection, observation, and test equipment.
- Repair, inspect, fabricate, clean, operate, maintain, and reconstitute BEAR assets.
- Control corrosion on BEAR assets and equipment.
- Prepare BEAR assets for air, sea, or road shipments.
- Conform to USAF and company safety, hazardous material, and quality standards.
- Perform maintenance according to USAF and company directives.
- Assist with erecting, constructing, and operating Bare Base power generation equipment for exercises and contingencies.
- Perform servicing and maintenance of in-use assets as required.
- Ensure tools, personal protective equipment, and clothing are safe and serviceable.
- Report any deficiencies with issued equipment.
- Prepare and complete Work Orders and USAF Supply documentation.
- Update Maximo system records.
- Operate material handling equipment.
- Inspect hazardous materials and coordinate their disposal.
