- PhD in Regulatory Affairs or related fields, or university degree in natural, engineering or life sciences with previous regulatory affairs experience, or PhD in biomedical materials, pharmaceutical science or microbiology with clinical translation experience

- Strong analytical skills
- Proactive, problem-solving, structured, autonomous working style
- Writing and communication skills in German and English
Tasks
- Lead community-driven initiative in Engineered Living Materials (ELMs)
- Perform research on needs, challenges, and best practices for ELM technologies
- Coordinate with knowledge-exchange network of ELM experts
- Conduct interviews and workshops with ELM regulation experts
- Analyze and document existing regulatory frameworks for ELMs
- Expand and maintain network of ELM stakeholders
- Conceptualize and implement information exchange formats
- Develop praxis-oriented guidelines and decision-making trees
- Propose metrics for safe-by-design ELM research
- Integrate safety aspects into early stages of materials design
- Conceptualize outreach action plan with MaterialVital Hub and communication experts
- Report to project coordinator, partners, and funding agencies
