Requirements

  • Master’s degree in biochemistry, microbiology, biotechnology, or related field, or near completion
  • Strong practical experience in molecular cloning techniques
  • Proven experience with prokaryotic protein expression, purification, and characterization
  • Solid background in microbial culture and bioprocesses
  • Self-motivation for interdisciplinary, international research environment
  • Very good written and spoken English
  • Submission of university transcripts (bachelor’s and master’s level, or equivalent)

Tasks

  • Transform microorganisms into living therapeutic systems
  • Integrate synthetic biology with advanced biomaterials
  • Explore material environments' impact on biological function
  • Design controlled and effective in vitro drug delivery systems
  • Perform advanced molecular biology techniques
  • Conduct molecular cloning using methods like Gibson assembly
  • Generate and analyze engineered bacteria for therapeutic use
  • Produce, purify, and characterize proteins
  • Assess bacterial longevity and viability
  • Collaborate on in vivo testing in zebrafish models
  • Analyze experimental data
  • Prepare figures for scientific publications
  • Contribute to scientific publications
  • Present results at meetings and conferences
